The Process Involved

If you like to find out more about the Toner Action Western Australia franchise system, you are invited to go through this website (www.toneractionwa.com.au) for more information and/or contact Richard Chiang, Manager Toner Action Western Australia by phone (08 9313 8593) or email (toneractionwa@bigpond.com).

Richard will be happy to provide you a copy of information briefs on the Toner Action franchise business.

Then, upon expressing your wish to become a Toner Action Western Australia franchise owner, you would then be given a copy of the disclosure documentation, which includes:

  • Toner Action Western Australia Franchise Agreement
  • Franchising Regulations
  • Toner Action Disclosure Document
  • Several other documents

The Disclosure Document summarises a range of legal provisions of the franchise agreement. You are advised to read this Disclosure Document and the Franchise Agreement carefully.

There is a legislative requirement that you must have received the disclosure documentation at least 14 calendar days before you are able to sign the Franchise Agreement and remit any payment to Toner Action Western Australia.

It is your responsibility to review the Disclosure Document or to have your solicitor and/or accountant review it with you so that you are fully familiar with the implications of the transaction contemplated before the execution of any document or the payment of any money.

When you decide to become a franchise owner, you would be requested to:

  • Select a franchise area to operate your Toner Action business;
  • Supply the details required to prepare the Franchise Agreement;
  • Decide on a date for the one-week training at the Gold Coast in Queensland; and
  • Decide to undertake or not a 2-day training on printer repairs and maintenance at an additional cost.

Upon signing the Franchise Agreement, you would be required to remit 10% of the franchise fee to Toner Action Western Australia together with payment of the balance of the legal fee.

At any time following a 7 day "cooling off period" after signing the Franchise Agreement, you may commence to prepare your business and pay Toner Action Western Australia the balance of the franchise fee (90%) before your training starts.

Preparation of your Toner Action business includes:

  • Registration of your business name
  • Applying to the Australian Taxation Office for the ABN
  • Establishing your business bank account
  • Printing your business cards, letterheads, tax invoices, etc
  • Arranging for credit facilities, etc
